5 Questions from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], concerning everything from mangoes to animals over 25 lbs!
I know most of the people on my friendslist have already done this, but if anyone wants to be interview, let me know. :)
1) when did your obsession with mangoes begin?
! You know, I'm not sure. I think it was when I was introduced to SARK (by Donika I think), and when my Dad discovered that he like mangoes and brought them home a lot. Ryan and I used to eat mangoes on our lunch breaks when we worked at the library together. Kelly used to get me a lot of mango stuff too. It's a passion with no beginning and no end, I guess. :)
2) you have overtaken Bruegger's, and can make enough bagels to fill up your living room. which do you make?
Everything bagels, fer sher. With lots of veggie cream cheese, and veggies for everything bagel sandwiches. *drools*
3) what is one of the most difficult tasks in your quest of being a librarian?
You mean before actually starting to work as one? Besides getting through library school? :) Ummm maybe finding a school library that I want to work in. Meaning, one that doesn't censor what the kids can read, insist on filtering programs for the computers, etc. I need to find a liberal school somwhere. And one that has the same fun, libraries-are-great-and-helpful- childfriendly-places sort of atmosphere that Crandall children's department had... except in a school.
I'm choosing school library media over public library work because it's a better job, but I may find I'd be happier in a public library. So there's that. But I'll cross that bridge when and if I come to it. :)
4) you are having 3 celebrities over to have dinner with you. who are they & what is one thing you would like to know about each of them?
Hmmm...I would ask Shakira to teach me to belly dance (that's sort of something I want to know about her! :)), I would ask Tori Amos what her favorite kind of tea is, and I would ask Britney to marry me (us?)...or at least sleep over a lot. ;)
Yes, I could have been more serious about that, but hey.
5) if you could have one pet that was over 25 lbs & not already domesticated, what would it be?
A MONKEY! I WANT A MONKEY
I would also accept a baby elephant, but it would have to stay a baby or it wouldn't fit in my house even a little bit. I would give it a bath like they do on Sesame Street. You know, where they spray the elephant with the hose and wash it off with soapy water? I always wanted to do that when I saw it on TV. :)
