didya miss me?
Sep. 23rd, 2006 01:11 pmKelly checked her LJ friendslist today and said to me, "Either you're not one of my "friends" anymore for some reason or you haven't posted in a while." Well, clearly, I haven't posted in a while. So here I am. :) With an entry in list form!
*We've been having autumn-y fun here. We picked apples last weekend and there's been a neverending parade of apple pies ever since. Today, we went and got cider donuts, and Kelly made spiced cider. It's rainy and moody outside, so we are inside being warm and wearing sweaters and reading books.
*I have been watched Angel S4 with Kelly, and it's so much fun watching her watch the series for the first time. :) S4 is my favorite, I think, despite a couple of Annoying Major Plot Arcs of which we shall not speak right now (but we all know what they are, I think, and anyway - I don't want to spoil Kelly.) And I get to do the whole Wes/Lilah squee thing. 'Tis good.
*Tonight, we're all going to see The Black Dahlia. I hope I don't regret it - but I'm kinda jazzed about it even though I realize I might (either because of the bad reviews it is getting, or because of the gruesome subject matter).
*I'm completely obsessed with "Honey and the Moon" by Joseph Arthur. (I should do that 7 Songs meme again, because it's time for a new list.)
*I'm reading "Mortal Love" by Elizabeth Hand, mostly because a certain [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] (who, whether she knows it or not, is my internet girlfriend ;)) wrote about it recently. Next, I have "Bitchfest" (the new collection of essays from "Bitch" magazine) and "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle, which I have never read. Also, a couple of YA novels that I've been meaning to read. Ryan and I got new squishy chairs for reading in, and I plan to get a lot of use out of them. :)
*I'm starting to see kids I know everywhere I go. Or, I don't see them, but they come to the library the next day and say "I saw you yesterday!" They're always watching, EVEN WHEN I DON'T KNOW IT. Eeep! :)
*I mailed most of the imps I promised to people - with the exception of a few stragglers I'll get out on Monday. Let me know what you think when you get them! I'm curious. :)
