Thoughts after finishing Angel S4 (most of them completely non-useful, but hey)

I know I'm spammy today, but it's too hot to do much else!

Let me just get this out of the way first:

I am totally, 100% in love with Lilah. Lie-lah. I'm serious. I don't know how they did it, but they made me love her this season with a giddy, undying, evil love. ;) And when she came back from hell with her neck scarves and her witty banter, I nearly fainted from the squee! Also, Lilah/Wesley, but that goes without saying. I love that he tried to destroy her contract, and her reaction to that, even though it struck me as silly that he would think he could just burn it like that. Doesn't he know anything about anything? When Wolfram and Hart says "in perpetuity", I expect them to mean it. I believe she alluded to all of this stuff a while back (Season 2?) but I'm not sure.

Evil!Cordy made me sad. She wasn't a likable sort of evil, in the way my previously-mentioned dead evil girlfriend is. She was a totally unlikeable evil - annoying, even, with her "we're special" this and her "our love, our family" that. And I still feel robbed of Cordy, because we never got a chance to mourn her loss. She was just gone, and then she was evil, and that was that. I thought she would be dead by now, but she's not! So maybe we get a glimmer of the old Cordelia back before she dies (because I know she dies at some point, just not when.) I hope I hope!

I didn't really like Connor - how could I? But I did feel something for him, and something bigger for Angel, at the end. I thought I remembered Connor being in "Not Fade Away" though, so I doubt he's with his new brainwashy family to stay.

Jasmine mostly annoyed me - in sort of the same way Evil!Cordy did. But slower. During the first episode with her in it, I said "okay okay THRALL, we get it!" Just before Fred got all un-thralled, though. :) But I liked her scariness. And I liked the resolution of her arc, in that it didn't end in a simple "yay we saved the world" kind of way. They ended world peace *and* saved the world by ending a nefarious global domination scheme, even though they kept trying (understandably) to make it an either/or situation. So I'm interested in how the whole Good Guys At Wolfram & Hart thing plays out in the 5th (and final! :() season.

Which, by the way? I want right this minute. Kthnxbye.

Most, or possibly all, of the Lilah/Wesley interactions in the last episode ("Home", right?) killed me. But the flames part was really good, yes. Really good.

Aw, now I want to watch it again. :)
