20 weeks of Sophie
Nov. 28th, 2009 09:37 pmSophie (or Sofa, as Eleanor calls her - maybe Sopha?) is 20 weeks old today. She had her 4 month checkup this week and she's 14 lbs 11oz, 24.5 inches, and diagnosed as "doesn't like changes that weren't her idea." Which, uh, yeah. She can roll to one side (over her right arm) from back to front, and once on her tummy she tries to move forward, though she's not going to be getting anywhere anytime soon. She can't get from front to back reliably - she's done it, but she doesn't usually try to do it - she just gets frustrated that she's on her front and starts to yell.
She is really strong, and she likes to practice her standing and kicking. She can get her own socks off by rubbing her heels together vigorously! She likes her dog rattle and her paper crane mobile. She's juuust starting to babble a little bit and we think she's teething.
( More Sophie talk )
I haven't been updating on her in part because...it's kind of overwhelming to write about, in good and bad ways. I feel like I'm skimming the surface even though to you, it wouldn't seem like it. Also, I talk about her in real life all the time. But I know some of you will want to read about her here, and it's good to write things down so that when she is older and a happy, easy-going, pleasant young lady at all times ;), I can look back at this and remember a little bit.
