It is my birthday! It seems I got a cold for my birthday, but I'm determined to be better by tomorrow by drinking lots of echinecea tea and taking hot baths and BELIEVING REALLY HARD. I have too much fun to have to be sick (work too, but whatever), and I have to drive to the airport tomorrow night to pick up Ryan (who is coming home from Chicago).

I have been a bit lonely since coming back here on Sunday, but really I am doing fine. Kelly is a sweetheart and good company, and I like being alone sometimes. Still, I miss Ryan, and it will be really good to have him back tomorrow. Except I wish his plane was earlier so that I wouldn't have to either drive in the dark or get to the airport early and sit around for hours. (I'll probably choose option B, btw, but at least there is wireless, and also I have an endless supply of books to read.)

This is not my best birthday ever, what with the cold and the lack-of-spouse and stuff, but I have plenty of people who are caring about me and I am happy anyway. Kelly has been bringing the birthday fun, and there has been a lot of flowers and cake in my life today, and I got to take a bath and read for like an hour this afternoon. And now I am playing a bunch of songs on repeat, mindlessly, because no one else is home to mind. :)

BACK TO THE INSANE TEA DRINKING, and maybe I will make coconut soup.
