Feb. 3rd, 2007 09:39 amWe have mice. Like, a lot of mice. Like, in the middle of the night, they have parties in our bedroom. The other night, I awoke to discover a little mouse sitting right next to the bed, eating Chex mix happily. We looked at him with a little flashlight and he was just kinda like "Hey, Chex are yummy! Oh, maybe I should go now?" I had to wear earplugs last night, the SQUEAKING was getting to me.
In other mouse-related news, Ryan and I experienced a small trauma last night. Ryan bought these little humane traps (they were the only ones he could find), and set them up in the basement. After a few house, we found that one had been sprung and appeared to have a mouse in it, so he went to let it out in the fishbowl (we were going to contain him there temporarily until we could release him), but it wasn't moving. He dumped it out of the trap and it was dead and wet and freaky and sad. I don't know what happened to him, but I was upset. So now we're a little scared of the traps. We're trying this magical arrangement.
Wish us luck. It's getting kind of intensely weird around here.
Meanwhile, it is Saturday and that is fabulous. I'm going to go thrifting with Kelly and then to the gym. Then we'll watch VM and GG, which I've been excited to do, and make food of some kind. Tomorrow, I'm going to a Super Bowl party. Weekend yay!
