In totally disturbing news:

There are cockroaches of some kind living in our CD player. Luckily, it's the cheapo $20 Cd player/tape deck we got years and years ago, but eeeeeeeeew. Also, they are living in the insides of our microwave. How do I know? Every now and then, you'll see one sitting inside the digital clock, so that it's blocking part of one of the numbers. CREEPTASTIC.

I try not to do the girly bug squealy thing, but cockroaches make me shudder with horror. Like, literally shudder.

So, today we got some cheapo flour and cocoa powder to mix with borax and put all around the offending appliances. I hope I hope I hope that helps. Ryan was going to just knock the CD player into a garbage bag and do away with it, but I wanted to see if we could kill some of them off first because I DO NOT WANT TO TOUCH IT AT THIS POINT. EW.

TRIPLE EW.

are they the big or small roaches? we had an absolute infestation of the small ones, and nothing worked. I finally shelled out $40 for Maxforce gel, and it was so worth it. it totally elminiated the problem. I was amazed. Our problem was so bad and so intractable I would have been happy if it just thinned our population out some, but after about two weeks it was much better and after a month it was gone. I haven't seen a roach in more than 18 months now.

They're small. Some are really teeny tiny. If this borax thing doesn't work out, we will definitely have to look into the Maxforce gel! Thank you, and please keep your fingers crossed for us. :)

OMG. I think I would go crazy if I saw a roach crawling on the digital display of my microwave.

Oh, I know - it's really freaky. And it was inside there too, which made it so much creepier. Have I said EW lately? Because, um, EW. I don't think it can be said enough. :)

:-O

I would never, ever be able to use any appliance that I saw a cockroach in, even if it was in the appliance's innards. I could never knowingly put food in there after that without worrying about what coud've touched it.

EW EW EW EW EW EW EW!

*Thinks about it some more*

EEEEEWWWW!!! ._.;

(Sorry, I HATE bugs. HATE them. So the thought of them in my house just sends me off the edge...heh.)

Ack. You might want to just say godbye to the CD player at this point. We've got a mouse in my apartment that my boyfriend is trying desperately to trap. He's convinced it's the Einstein of mice, because he's normally good at catching them. At least I'm not scared of mice, though. But bugs? I'd probably have to move. Be brave!

Roaches are ew,ew,ew. We get them from time to time here in Florida. We see them most after the pest control comes in to spray or apartment; they usually come out to die. We had a mouse, rat or some other rodent a while back. I hated seeing it all stuck to the sticky trap, but at least they did not kill it, which would have upset me greatly. Roaches, I can't stand. Yuck yuck yuck.

You can see them in the clock!!! That is extremely disgusting. Do they ever appear on your food? Like you put a potato in the microwave and it comes out with a cockroach on it?
