elevator, elevator take me home
Mar. 18th, 2012 10:30 pmSophie is better and it was really freaking beautiful outside today, so we played "in the garden" in the morning (my child is British, maybe?) and then we all went downtown after her nap. There was ice cream! And shorts! The first time I go out with bare legs every year, it feels a little transgressive - am I the only one who feels that? Just at first. And this year, I think the cognitive dissonance is more noticeable because I was outside with bare legs and there were no leaves on the trees. Like, not even buds! But it was so warm, we kind of forgot. Ryan and I started talking about farmer's markets and when does Summervale start and planting things and then we realized OH, IT'S ACTUALLY ONLY MARCH. But it didn't feel like it for a few minutes there. And the forecast has some very high numbers in it over the next few days...

Yesterday we all walked into town and we made a baby cone stop then too, and also a playground stop. This is our first unscheduled, free weekend in like a month? And it was so very nice. I am not ready for it to be over. That said, it will be warm again tomorrow and I don't have a definitive plan - I bet Sophie and I will find something fun to do with all that sunshine...:)
