This year I, uh, had a baby!
Actually, that accounts for half of my 2009, since she's almost 6 months old. All of 2009, really, if you count being pregnant. Last year on New Year's Eve, I drank a half glass of champagne and held a baby who made me sneeze because he had a dog at home, and my pregnant allergies could detect animal dander from miles away. This year I'll still be drinking lightly, but it will be because of nursing. :)
This year had some of the most scary, sad, emotionally and physically painful things in it, and some of the most happy and amazing. I know, it sounds cliched, but it's really true. It has been a big, difficult year. I think that things are on the upswing in general now, for me and for, you know, my people.
I guess I could go on, but I think I won't. This is enough of an obligatory end-of-a-big-year LJ post for now, right? Time to finish Weeds before the baby wakes up again. Happy almost new year, LJ.
