Jan. 7th, 2007 09:51 amMy 7th grade book club and I are reading "Make Lemonade" by Virginia Euwer Wolff, which I've read before. I re-read it and then re-read its sequel, "True Believer". These are great books, people. If I could get everyone to read them, I would. They only take a couple hours to read, and they are spot-on fabulous. "True Believer" made me teary more than once, and often in that happy, hopeful kind of way. Do yourself a favor and read these books, okay? I betcha your local library has 'em in the YA/teen section.
I'm still sick, so my plans for today include sleeping, drinking tea, reading, and probably taking a walk with Ryan to get some fresh air (it is sunny and global-warmingly beautiful outside). I'm going to take him to the new bridge across the brook, and then maybe we'll see if we can walk home from there. Maybe that will help with my whole achey limbs and joints thing - or maybe it's time for ibuprofen.
