Better classes - yay!
Sep. 15th, 2004 12:59 pmI thought I ought to update and say that I feel better about my other two classes, particularly the YA one (Reading Interests of Young Adults). The research class is not exciting, but the professor seems cooler and I like listening to her talk (she has a Russian accent, and it is pretty cool). The YA one is going to be a lot of work and a *lot* of reading, but I'm going to love it, I think. That class made me feel better about the whole being-a-librarian thing, because that class covers the stuff I really care about and am interested in. It's more of what it's really about for me. The management class may be required, and I may actually need to, you know, manage when I am a librarian, but it's not really what the whole gig is about. I'll just have to remember that, to keep everything in perspective when I'm sitting there in my other classes being bored out of my skull. Heh. :)
I have an insane amount of reading every week. I mean, I know this is grad school and that's to be expected...but dude, I have to learn to read a lot faster. If I'm actually going to do all the reading, that is.
So, yeah. I worked today, and got my hair cut, so I made a little money and am no longer a ridiculously shaggy beast. Now, I will spend the rest of the afternoon reading! Oh boy!
I feel much better now, though. Thanks for the love. :)
