Halloween costume time!

You have 45 minutes to suggest a costume for me that fits these specs:

I have very little prep time or supples. I have the clothes in my closet, some funky tights and socks, a frog eyes head band, and some limited makeup supplies. I could dress as a frog with the headband, but I lack flippers and don't know how to make it obvious without them. :) I could be a doll or something, but I think I've done that before.

I have to wear this costume to an elementary school tomorrow.

GO!

What kind of clothes? For example, I took a superman shirt one year, put it under a button down shirt, got some glasses, and was supergirl?

When I was a frog for Halloween, I made flippers out of paper that wrapped around my ankles and wrists, if that makes any sense. It worked, but it depends on how durable you need your flippers to be.

Could you be Pippi Longstocking?

Or make some kind of tail and use the frog headband with some creative license and be a lizard?

I was once a pirate with cropped pants, a loose blouse, and I made a patch out of paper, and a newspaper hat with skull and crossbones, and carried a stuffed parrot.

You might be able to throw together a gypsy costume, but I'm not sure if that's P.C.

You could be Mother Goose, like me--I got the idea from my aunt, who's a librarian, and she dressed as Mother Goose last year for work.

One year when I needed a costume quick-like, I got a plaid shirt and a pair of overalls out of my closet, braided my hair, and called myself a farmgirl. My mom still claims that was my best costume ever.

Any sort of cowgirl, farmer, construction worker, chef? Something job related you can usually pull off with the things in your closet...

We just threw together some costumes last minute ourselves (see this post). We were supposed to be pirates, but looked more like gypsies, but regardless of what we called ourselves, we *did* dress up, and using stuff out of our own closets. Baggy, high cut pants, eclectic shirts, tons of jewelry, bandanas (or in our case, sarongs) tied on our heads. Pretty easy, really.

Good luck.

(Also, this is my I-am-frightened-'cause-it's-Halloween icon, in case you were wondering.)

I am wearing my flannel pajamas to work. And my slippers (to change into once I get there).

I'm still debating between my regular slippers or the piggy slippers.

What did you decide? If you have black clothes, you could be a ninja (I know you're shocked that I said it). For ninja mask, only a black T-shirt is needed.

But probably it's too late now, eh? What did you decide?

WHAT DID YOU DECIDE?? I MUST KNOW.
