In catching up with the current season of Supernatural, we just got to the episode with Jensen doing "Eye of the Tiger" at the end. HEE. Since the middle-to-end of S3, Ryan has quietly taken to watching with me, and he HEE-ed just as much as I did. :)



I am being kicked, poked, and pressed on quite regularly now. I have been feeling a little bit of movement for weeks, but this is very definitive and sometimes kind of violent. It seems like Alejandro (for the uninitiated, this is what we have been calling Fetus Face regardless of real name or sex) should be too small to manage this, but sometimes the kicks are well-placed and make me jump and gasp. Any definitive movement kind of startles me at this point even when it's gentle, because it is WEIRD and ALIEN-LIKE, but it is also very cool. Despite kicks or punches that make me jump a mile, Ryan hasn't been able to feel movement yet, and I really can't tell if I can feel it from the outside because...I'm feeling it from the inside. This will probably be cross-posted to the baby blog, apologies in advance. Based entirely on when movement happens, Alejandro seems to like napping, House, the hours between 3 and 5 a.m., and watching Shawn play video games. (I don't feel it so much when I am up and doing things, which is probably good or I'd be yelping in public a lot. ;))

Babies are more active when you're resting because when you're moving you're actually calming them and lulling them to sleep. ;) How exciting!

I'm glad you described it as alien-like. When I think about pregnancy most of the time I think it will be really neat to feel something growing inside me, but there are other times when I've definitely thought it would be weird and I might feel like there was an alien in my belly (mostly feel like this after watching Rosemary's Baby hehe) I've just never heard an actual pregnant person say it, so I'm glad my suspicions have been confirmed ;)
