Also, I am your son who, until recently, was in Iraq for largely unaddressed reasons.
Episode 2 - "St. Claire's - I'm the one who got you out of there, remember?" THANKS JOSH JACKSON FOR THAT BRILLIANT, COMPLETELY FITTING EXPOSITIONAL DIALOGUE.
I have enjoyed picking out the HEY I AM A NEW SHOW WATCH ME aspects of the first two episodes. Gruesome transparent skin! Pretty girl in her underwear with electrodes all over her! Gratuitously horrible murders! Plus, I think J.J. Abrams has a lot of nightmares about airplanes (and some distrust of corporations). Do you know what would be cool? If this show's "pattern" explained Lost's mysterious mysteriousness. I haven't watched Lost since S2 or so, but hey, I'd find that interesting!
I have seen some people saying this is sort of a copy of the X-Files. Having seen approximately one episode of the X-Files (I know, it's a sin, I'll fix it someday) I cannot comment. I bet some of you can, though! (Tamar?)
EDIT: OH DUDES I JUST GOT TO THE EYEBALL
DOUBLE EDIT: The last image on her optic nerve (which is WACKY SCIENCE YEAH?) would not have been of the effing bridge, J.J. It would have been of the face of her killer oh my GOD.
