(no subject)

I haven't had a chance to say it, but I'm home and happy and healthy and glad to be here with my birdies and my bed. :)

I have a job interview tomorrow. In New Hampshire, at a K-8 school. I spent this morning designing a brochure that summarizes my portfolio so I can leave that with them and take my portfolio home with me. It is shiny. I am Marketable. ;) This is my first real interview ever, so please wish me luck and leave me tips for Wild Success.:)

Other things I have been up to since I got home:
*spending time with Kelly and William
*going through 500 pictures from Italy to pick out some to print (I put in an order this morning)
*Typing my reference letters into Schoolspring (which is a education job search website I'm using to apply for jobs)
*Making icons, new post coming soon, I hope

I have a massage appointment today, and I could not be happier about that. Traveling and carrying a giant backpack and stuff have made my back Really Messed Up, yo. Betcha I am an inch taller when I'm done. :)

The ever-widening LJ window scourge seems to have passed. Praise be to LJ gods!

good luck on your interview! a brochure is a good idea that I may have to steal from you when the time comes :)

also, there was a post in a teaching community that i'm in about interview questions not too long ago. Some of them might not be relevant to you, but I can see where the rest of them might be asked of a librarian/media specialist. (What would your specific job title be if they hired you?)

doh! maybe it would help if i would give you the link to the post heh

these are great. i was also given the top 20 interview questions, which, although general, are very helpful, and once i did my portfolio which had me write about my philosophy of teaching and all that, it was a lot easier for me to answer them. when i get my hands on them (i'm home and they're up at school..) i will scan them for you.

Thanks! That was a very helpful post. It gave me a chance to read through the questions and see if I could come up with something to say (and I could, generally, so yay. :))

My job title would be library media specialist.
