actually, the more i research it, i don't know if ghiberti's sacrifice of isaac actually was put on a door. i think it was only submitted for the contest. the scenes on the north door are all from the life of christ. and the other set ghiberti did, the east doors, are all from the old testament, but they're not the quatrefoil shape.
